Environmental Issues

To ensure that the Euromet are prepared for the future, it targets new innovative recycling, re-use and reclamation technologies for both existing catalyst and catalysts that are currently under development for use in the coming years.

Over the last 12 years, Euromet has invested considerable time and effort into environmental issues.  Known within the recycling industry as one of the world leaders, it has become the ‘information portal’ for all those wishing to gain knowledge, whether it is current or pending legislation or just general issues affecting the environment.

Environmental issues are obviously of great importance to Euromet, and we continue to invest in the most up to date knowledge on issues affecting their industry. It is for this reason that Euromet have employed the services of esteemed environmental consultant Mrs Hilary Stone.

Hilary Stone is an independent environmental consultant. She is also a Visiting Lecturer in Environmental Law at Brunel University. Stone spent 25 years as a commercial lawyer advising corporate clients on environmental issues and since 1995 has taught  environmental law and other environmental topics on various Masters programmes at Brunel University. She is a member of UKELA and serves on its Waste Working Group and is a member of the Defra Advisory Committee on Hazardous Substances.

She recently edited and contributed to a book  "Managing Environmental Risk" published by Reaction and co-authored a book titled "Profit and the Environment" in 2001. She is currently completing (with another) a book on novel Waste Management Technologies due for publication by John Wiley & Sons Ltd in 2006.
